2013 has been an amazing year, and I feel so incredibly fortunate to have seen so many amazing places in one short year. Most of these adventures have been in the best company anyone could ask for, and for that I feel even luckier. I hope these images communicate even a fraction of these amazing experiences and help inspire you to go out and explore this beautiful planet for yourself—even if it's right in your own backyard.
I've spent countless hours working to completely overhaul my workflow in the past year, and it's hard to believe just how far my work has come such a short time. As with most things, though, the more I learn the less I think I know. I continue seeing more room for improvement with every photo I make, and look forward to refining my workflow over the year ahead.
With that, here are some of my favorite images from the past year. It was surprisingly difficult to narrow it down to ten. This is the first year where I could find even a handful of images that I'm proud to share as my best, so I welcomed the challenge whittle it down. These are in no particular order whatsoever. They were all processed to be viewed on black, so please click each image to dim the lights.
