This post is something a little different for me. I had so much fun shooting BioBlitz last weekend that I thought I'd share some of my shots while showing an entirely different side of my portfolio.
Led by National Geographic, in partnership the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and the National Park Service, BioBlitz is a 24 hour species inventory that takes place in a different national park every year. This year's location was right here in the Golden Gate National Parks.
The event was headquartered at Crissy Field in San Francisco, where the rigorous inventories were accompanied by a Biodiversity Festival that featured exhibitors, education programs, enhanced learning stations, and panel discussions (many of which featuring NatGeo photographers). Not even torrential rains on Saturday kept nature enthusiasts from participating in the event.
